UNIJOS TO ADMIT ONLY 25% OF POST-UTME CANDIDATES
A total of 25,700 candidates are competing for 6,500 admission spaces in the 2015 post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination screening of the University of Jos (UNIJOS).
The Registrar in the person of Jilli Damdam,reported that the figure represented only those who scored 180 points and above in the UTME and chose the University as their first choice.
He went further to sat that the number of candidates who had applied for admission into the university was much more than the spaces available. Only those who met this year’s Joint Admission’s Matriculation Board cut-off point were invited for the test and screening exercises.
According to him, the exam will commence from August 28 to September 5 because it is a computer-based test and to avoid too many persons on the campus. The registrar assured the public that adequate security measures had been put in place to ensure safety.
The registrar emphasized on the arrival of candidates to the exam hall at least 30 minutes before time will be an added advantage also, he said that the last day is September 5. (NAN)
