The Nasarawa State Governor, Umaru Al-Makura,who was Represented by Mr Aliyu Akwe, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Al-Makura has advised students in the state to avoid cultism and other anti-social vices.He gave the advice on Friday in Lafia at the inauguration of the Nasarawa State Students Association (NASA) executive.

Mr Ahmed Hamza Ahmed, the new president commended the state government for creating an enabling environment for student unionism to thrive. He called on the state government to continue with the payment of students’ scholarship allowances. He said that the welfare of students would be one of the priorities of the new executive.

Other members of the executive are: Musa Raphael, Vice President; Daniel Ozigi, Secretary; Haruna Badamosi, Financial Secretary; Saba Peter, Treasurer, and Anyabuga Ovie, Auditor; Patience Jacob, Public Relations Officer; Sarki Umar, Welfare Officer, and Ado Abdulrazak, Director of Socials. (NAN)
