ONLY 26% OF POST-UTME CANDIDATES WILL BE ADMITTED IN FUTA
The school management of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) has stated that only 26 per cent of candidates who participated in its 2015\2016 post-UTME screening exercise will bs admitted.
Pro. Tunde Arayela the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) and Chairman of Admissions Committee has stated that the university’s carrying capacity is 2,534 students across its 39 departments out of 11,000 candidates who sat for the admission screening test.
Furthermore,He said that the candidates were screened based on merit and the standard regulations provided by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
Dr. Kayode Alese the Dean of Student Affairs Division and the Coordinator of the post-UTME exercise said the CBT examination was free of malpractice.
He went further to say that, the candidates were screened even in the CBT halls before their exams. As their passport photographs were displayed at the top right corner of their computers in addition to biometric capturing conducted on them.
