62 out of 67 million Unemployed Youth can be Employed through Agriculture

OOU-Provost-450x330The Provost College of Agriculture, Olabisi Onabanjo University OOU, Ago-Iwoye, Prof. Oluwatobi Adeokun, during his inaugural lecture adviced students against dropping agricultural-based courses out of ignorance or pressure, telling them that the courses are lucrative.

He also said that there was no profession that has the capacity to engage the burgeoning youth population other than agriculture, agriculture can absorb 62 million out of 67 million figure of the unemployed Nigerian graduates if government provides the rightful support.

“If it is because of jobs prospect that is making students of Agriculture to switch over to other courses, then they are ignorant”, Adeokun said.
