2014 MTN Foundation Scholarship,1,372 Students Gains Award

1,372 students have been awarded MTN Foundation scholarships 1,205 science and technology oriented students and 167 brilliant blind students across the country for the year 2014.

The award was announced at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), during the 2014 MTN Foundation Science and Technology Scholarship awards for the blind students.

According to the Director of the foundation, Dennis Okoro, the Foundation had concluded plans to be in Abuja, the federal capital territory where successful students in the northern region would enjoy the gesture and thereafter, extend same to those from the western region which would be held in Lagos on the December 9.

He further added that the exercise was to celebrate academic excellence in students who had worked extremely hard and who had unquestionably deserved an opportunity to continue to pursue their dreams of a higher education.

He congratulated the recipients assuring them that the Foundation would continue to support them with N200,000 yearly as long as they maintain the required cumulative grade point average, CGPA, scores every year.
